State of the Art

Our sterilization procedures anticipate and exceed the Centers for Disease Control guidelines. In our office, we have a large area dedicated to sterilization with separated countertops for used instruments and sterilized instruments, eliminating cross contamination.

We heat-sterilize all hand pieces and instruments after each use. We only use ADA approved disinfectants, disposable gloves, masks, eye protection and barrier covers at all times.

We pride ourselves in keeping our patients safe as well as our staff. Every year, we have our entire office examined by an OSHA representative to make sure we are up to date with the most recent codes.

Payment & Insurance Policy

Dental preventive care and treatment is extremely important, but we understand many people avoid the dentist because they do not have dental insurance or their insurance companies do not offer full coverage for all procedures.

At Cumberland Valley Dental Care, we try to work with our patients and their insurance companies to make their care affordable and achievable. Our dedicated staff members continually work to find our patient’s insurance benefits and coverage.                                                                                                      We accept most insurances, but are not in-network with any plans. If you have a Delta Dental or United Concordia plan, we will submit to them after payment is made in full at the time of service. There is NO benefit with state insurance or some discount plans.

Outside of insurance companies, we offer an In-House Membership Plan: Dental Health Advantage and we also accept Care Credit a healthcare credit card that allows our patients to afford the care they need and to pay off their balance at their convenience.

We now accept Sunbit: a finance program that allows monthly payments. Get pre-approved using the link here: https://apply.sunbit.com/CumberlandValleyDentalCare

Appointment Policy

Thank you for scheduling an appointment with CVDC for your dental needs. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled services to ensure you receive the highest quality services in a timely manner.

Late Arrival:

Patients are asked to arrive at their appointments before their scheduled appointment time. A grace period of 10 minutes will be permitted for unforeseen delays a patient may encounter while traveling to the office for their scheduled appointment. If a patient arrives more than 10 minutes late for their appointment, the patient will be given the option of either being seen that day as a walk-in, if the schedule permits, or rescheduled for a later date. This process will ensure patients who do arrive on time are seen in a timely manner.

Cancellation:

A patient who fails to appear for a scheduled appointment without 48-hour notice will be charged a “Missed appointment” fee of $75.00.  This charge cannot be billed to insurance and must be paid on or before the next scheduled appointment.

To assist the patient in keeping appointments, we will initiate reminder and confirmation texts, emails, and telephone calls before the patient’s scheduled appointment. During the reminder call, a patient is offered the opportunity to either confirm or reschedule the appointment. All reminder calls are documented in the patient’s electronic chart. Following the reminder call (or appointment confirmation), the patient is responsible for canceling or rescheduling the appointment no less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment

It is the responsibility of the patient receiving the voicemail to confirm, cancel or reschedule 48 hours before the scheduled appointment. All reminder calls are documented in the patient’s electronic chart. If the patient’s phone is “out of service” or not receiving calls, the patient is still responsible for keeping the scheduled appointment.
